Bally's Baton Rouge Hotel reopened in March 2025 on the Mississippi River in downtown Baton Rouge, after Bally's Corporation rebuilt all 242 rooms of the former Belle of Baton Rouge as part of a roughly $141 million renovation. A new, more than $160 million land-based casino replacing the property's former riverboat gaming floor followed in December 2025.

The place

Downtown Baton Rouge, on the Mississippi River, at the site long occupied by the riverboat casino formerly known as the Belle of Baton Rouge (and, before that, the Sheraton Baton Rouge Convention Center Hotel from 2001 to 2010).

The concept

Bally's Corporation took over the property through its merger with parent company Queen Casino & Entertainment and put the 10-story hotel through a down-to-the-stud renovation as part of a roughly $141 million project, reopening all 242 guest rooms under the Bally's name in March 2025. Deluxe rooms carry 65-inch 4K TVs, new flooring and digital climate controls; the 63 signature suites and 2 supreme suites add separate seating areas and, in the supreme suites, two 86-inch 4K TVs each. The hotel renovation was the first phase of a larger transformation: Bally's also built a new, more than $160 million land-based casino next door, replacing the riverboat gaming floor the Belle had operated on the Mississippi, which held its own grand opening in December 2025.

Dining & wellness

The Dining Depot food hall groups Hearth Pizzeria, an Oyster Bar, the Vintage 1806 wine lounge and Maritime Coffee under one roof, alongside The Terrace restaurant; the adjoining casino adds a sportsbook, a bowling alley and several bars.
