The Elene is a boutique resort under construction at 5091 Solano Avenue in Napa, planned for fall 2026. Mosaic Hotel Collection will manage it, with Cody Felice as managing director. Felice, appointed in March 2026, is the company's vice president of operations and worked previously at The San Francisco Proper, Carneros Resort and Spa, Gurney's Montauk Resort and The Dewberry Charleston.

The place
5091 Solano Avenue, on a five-acre site along the Napa Valley Vine Trail, the paved walking and cycling route planned to run the length of the valley. Press releases place it about five miles from downtown Napa and about three from Yountville. Local reporting adds that the address was previously the original home of the Red Hen cantina.
The concept
The Elene is a new building, not a conversion. Napa Valley Land Company, based in St. Helena, is the developer, Nordby Construction is the builder, and Signum Architecture designed the hotel. Parts and Labor Design did the interiors and Surfacedesign the landscape. Mosaic Hotel Collection, part of Palisades Hospitality Group, conceived and will manage it.
There are 50 accommodations. Forty-six are guest rooms with vineyard views and private decks, and four are suites on the third floor. The amenities are built around the outdoors: a heated 25-yard pool facing the vines, a fitness studio and a cycling programme with a bike barn, which makes use of the trail at the edge of the property.
The Spa & Sauna Garden was designed by Lydia Mondavi. According to the announcement it has an infrared sauna, hot and cold plunges and a thermal mineral pool with massage showers. The resort also describes water recycling, solar power and carbon-reduction measures as part of its sustainability programme.
The date has moved. Early announcements pointed to early 2026, Mosaic's November 2025 release said late summer 2026, and the March 2026 announcement of the managing director gave fall 2026. We have found no opening notice as of 21 October 2026, so the hotel is listed as announced.
Dining & wellness
The resort will have an upscale signature restaurant, a house bar and a casual café. The releases do not name the restaurant or the chef, and no menu has been published.

November 21, 2025: Mosaic Hotel Collection and Napa Valley Land Company announced The Elene, a boutique resort with 50 accommodations set for late summer 2026. It has 46 vineyard-view guest rooms with private decks and four third-floor suites, on five acres along the Napa Valley Vine Trail. Signum Architecture designed it, Parts and Labor Design the interiors and Surfacedesign the landscape. Lydia Mondavi designed the Spa & Sauna Garden, and the resort will also have a heated 25-yard pool, a fitness studio, a cycling programme, an upscale restaurant, a bar and a café. Nordby Construction is the builder. A later announcement moved the target to fall 2026.
