Six Senses Telluride will bring IHG's wellness-focused luxury brand to Mountain Village, above Telluride's historic mining town, with 77 rooms and 24 residences targeted for a 2028 opening. Developer Vault Home Collection is building the resort around cedar-and-stone architecture, a rooftop pool, an omakase counter and a speakeasy bar.

The place
Mountain Village, the purpose-built resort base above Telluride's historic mining town, reached from Telluride proper by North America's only free public gondola — a San Juan Mountains site with direct ski access.
The concept
Matthew Shear and David Jaskel's Vault Home Collection is developing the project in partnership with Six Senses, marking the wellness brand's first Mountain West resort and its first Colorado property. The exterior uses cedar siding and locally sourced stone, designed by Vault Design to sit against the surrounding peaks, while Rose Ink Workshop's interiors lean on natural light and earthy tones. Alongside the 77 hotel rooms, 24 residences ranging from two to five bedrooms — some with additional dens — give the project a real-estate component typical of recent Six Senses mountain openings.
Dining & wellness
Plans include a specialty restaurant, an omakase dining counter, a speakeasy-style bar and what the developers describe as Telluride's first rooftop pool venue, alongside a Six Senses Spa and, for residence owners, a gym, cinema, lounge and game room.
