Our stay at No.4 Carlton was absolutely wonderful from start to finish.
The service was outstanding, and the cleanliness was truly impeccable. What makes this property particularly special is its elegant design and attention to detail. Every element of the décor has been carefully curated, creating a sophisticated and welcoming atmosphere that transforms a simple stay into a memorable experience.
The breakfast served next door at Maison Carlton is a real treat and one of the highlights of the stay. Everything was exceptionally fresh, from the croissants and seasonal fruit to the freshly prepared juices. There was an excellent selection of jams, a beautifully cooked Full English breakfast, and delicious freshly made coffee.
The staff were professional, attentive, and genuinely warm. Their hospitality felt effortless yet thoughtful, always available when needed while allowing guests to feel completely at home. The team clearly takes great pride in providing a high standard of service, and it shows in every interaction.
No.4 Carlton offers the perfect combination of comfort, elegance, and exceptional hospitality. We would not hesitate to return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly special stay in Southampton.
We had an excellent stay at No.4 Carlton Hotel in Southampton. This boutique hotel is beautifully designed, with amazing décor and exceptional attention to detail throughout. The rooms and facilities feel luxurious, creating a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.
The location is perfect, whether you're heading to the cruise terminals or exploring Southampton city centre. What really made our stay special was the outstanding service from the staff, who were incredibly helpful, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish.
The breakfast was absolutely superb, with a great selection of high-quality food and excellent service.

We have just stayed at the No4 Carlton Hotel Dahlia room this weekend and this is one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in. The customer service was brilliant. May 2026 - Fortunate to stay at No.4 Carlton for 3 nights prior to my cruise vacation. Accommodation was very nice and breakfast at the sister property -just next door- was excellent. Staff was friendly and very helpful.
DONT BOTHER WASTING YOUR MONEY.
rooms were not clean, half drank beverages left in the room from previous customers, bins not emptied from previous customers. Breakfast abismal every day there was one less thing on my plate. Have to fill out breakfast card each evening with receptionist. There was only 3 options to begin with and by my second day we were told no salmon but the following morning salmon was being served to another customer. All in all staff were friendly but severely lacking in every area considering the price that I paid
