Listel Whistler, a Coast Hotel

Listel Whistler opened under the Coast Hotels flag on December 4, 2024. It is not a new build: the address already operated as the Listel Hotel Whistler, and what changed is the brand and the operator. The house has 98 rooms. Coast Hotels Limited, a subsidiary of APA Hotel Canada, runs it as a franchise, which makes it the group's newest address in the resort.

The place

The hotel is at 4121 Village Green, inside Whistler's pedestrian village. It says the base lifts to Whistler and Blackcomb are a few minutes away, and most of the village's restaurants and shops are on foot.

From Vancouver International Airport it is about a two-hour drive.

The concept

Coast Hotels describes the property as a boutique-style house with a relaxed tone. The change of flag did not alter the formula: a small village address aimed at skiers in winter and at bikers and hikers in summer.

Rooms have a mini fridge, a safe, a coffee and tea maker, an HD television and free Wi-Fi. The hotel promotes its triple-sheet bedding. One floor, the Cedar Gallery, shows Indigenous Canadian art. Dogs and cats are accepted in designated rooms.

Services are built around skiing: ski and snowboard valet, secure bike storage, guest laundry. Wellness is limited to an indoor sauna and hot tub, with no swimming pool. Underground parking costs 28 dollars a night with in and out privileges, first come, first served. A meeting room holds up to 40 people.

Dining & wellness

Bearfoot Bistro, which the hotel presents as award-winning, serves modern Canadian cuisine. The wine cellar is listed at more than 15,000 bottles.

Two bars complete the offer: the Grey Goose Ice Room, a vodka tasting room, and a champagne bar with live piano that doubles as an après-ski or late-night stop.
