Announced · 2028
Charlestowne Hotels' Jubilee will bring the first hotel of its kind to Johns Island, South Carolina: a 75-key wellness hotel and 65 short-term-rental cottages anchoring a 13-acre, 140-key mixed-use 'coastal revival' development approved by Charleston City Council. The place
Johns Island, a largely rural barrier-island community about 20 minutes from downtown Charleston, South Carolina, and near the Kiawah and Seabrook Island resort communities.
The concept
Approved by Charleston City Council, Jubilee is a 13-acre, 140-key mixed-use development combining the 75-key Jubilee hotel with 65 independent short-term-rental cottages and 15,500 square feet of restaurant, retail and office space built as a walkable town center. Charlestowne Hotels is developing and will manage the property, describing it as a 'coastal revival' concept for an island that today has virtually no hotels and only a handful of short-term rentals, meaning most visitors currently stay well outside the community.
Dining & wellness
Plans include a saltwater pool, a fitness studio and dining described by the developer as nourishing, Lowcountry-inspired cuisine, alongside the surrounding town center's own restaurant and retail space.
