The concept
A new-build tower on Ocean Street, granted development approval in December 2025. The project was originally announced in November 2024 as a 153-room voco Maroochydore before IHG and Felix Capital repositioned it in August 2025 as a larger, conference-oriented Crowne Plaza — the same site and developer, not a separate hotel. It's the second IHG–Felix Capital collaboration on the Sunshine Coast, after a Holiday Inn & Suites planned for Caloundra, and responds to regional forecasts of roughly 2,400 additional hotel rooms needed by 2032.
Dining & wellness
A 210-seat all-day restaurant, a 160-seat signature dining venue, a pool bar and lounge, and a lobby bar, alongside a 30-metre pool and spa, a wellness retreat, gym and sauna. Meeting space totals over 770 square metres, including a 600-square-metre ballroom.
