Americana by Loews Hotels, Arlington

Loews Hotels & Co will replace its own Sheraton Arlington with Americana by Loews Hotels: Arlington, a $500 million, 507-room ground-up rebuild in the city's Entertainment District, across from AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Field. Demolition begins in June 2026, with an opening targeted for 2028-2029.

The place

The hotel takes the address of the Sheraton Arlington it replaces, 1300 Ballpark Way, in the heart of Arlington's Entertainment District, within walking distance of AT&T Stadium, Globe Life Field and the Texas Live! dining and entertainment complex. It becomes Loews' third property on this campus, alongside Loews Arlington Hotel and Live! by Loews: Arlington, forming a combined 1,695-room footprint.

The concept

Americana by Loews Hotels, Arlington is a ground-up replacement, not a renovation: the existing Sheraton Arlington on the site is being demolished starting in June 2026, with construction on the new hotel beginning that summer. Designed by Dallas-based HKS, the $500 million project adds 507 rooms, including 39 suites, and more than 83,000 square feet of meeting and event space, among it a 17,337-square-foot Grand Ballroom, a 10,000-square-foot Event Barn, and outdoor space including a 23,820-square-foot event lawn and a pool terrace. It is Loews Hotels & Co's 28th property and its third in Arlington. The name references the original Americana Hotel, a Loews landmark that opened in Bal Harbour, Florida, in 1956.

Dining & wellness

Restaurant, bar and spa concepts have not been announced. Publicly detailed so far are the meeting and event facilities, including a dedicated pool terrace, that will anchor the property's convention business.
