Alt Hotel Saskatoon opened in February 2019 as Germain Hotels' first Saskatchewan property, a 155-room new build in the River Landing waterfront development on the South Saskatchewan River, next to the Remai Modern and Persephone Theatre.
The hotel stands within the River Landing 1 mixed-use development on the South Saskatchewan River, Saskatoon's riverside gathering site, a short walk from the Remai Modern art museum and the Persephone Theatre and steps from downtown.
The concept
Alt Hotel Saskatoon is a new build for Quebec-based Germain Hotels, its first property in Saskatchewan and fourth across the Canadian Prairies, developed as part of the River Landing waterfront redevelopment. The Alt brand's Prairies-inspired, art-driven interiors furnish all 155 rooms, each looking out over the river, with ergonomic work desks, Keurig coffee makers and HD televisions aimed at a select-service business and leisure mix. The hotel opened in February 2019.
Dining & wellness
Bokeh on the Plaza serves as the hotel's in-house restaurant, alongside a 24-hour grab-and-go counter for ready-to-eat dishes. The property also offers a 24-hour fitness centre, roughly 4,000 square feet of meeting and event space across five rooms, underground parking and dog-friendly rooms.
