Coming soon in Kenwood

This guide is tracking one confirmed opening in Kenwood: Soho Ranch House Sonoma, the private members' club's first Northern California property. Kenwood itself is a small, unincorporated Sonoma Valley community along Highway 12, known locally for its wineries rather than large-scale hospitality — this is the first project of its kind to open here.

A long-delayed site finally moving forward

The 350-acre property, known locally as the Kenwood Ranch, has been in development for more than two decades: Sonoma County approved a use permit for a 50-room inn, spa, restaurant and winery back in 2004. Private equity firm Yucaipa Companies bought the site in 2020 and is now leasing it to Soho House, which plans cottages and villas, a house kitchen and bar, a wellness club and an infinity pool looking out over the valley.
