What to do in the Gaslamp Quarter

For a weekend

Walk Fifth Avenue's Victorian storefronts in the morning, then catch a San Diego Padres game at Petco Park, a few blocks from Pendry San Diego and The Margot Hotel San Diego alike. In the evening, the district's restaurants and bars run late into the night along Fourth and Fifth Avenues.

For a longer stay

With more time, the San Diego Convention Center anchors the district's business travel, and the waterfront and Seaport Village are a short walk west. Little Italy and Coronado are both reachable within a few minutes by trolley, ferry or rideshare.

J Street & 10th Avenue

Pendry San Diego has been open since February 2017 at 550 J Street, at 5th Avenue and J Street, inside the district's densest concentration of nightlife. The Margot Hotel San Diego, the neighborhood's newest opening, arrived at 502 10th Avenue in May 2026 as one of the first properties under Hilton's new Outset Collection brand, an all-suite, kitchen-equipped hotel aimed at extended-stay and conference travelers.
