Das Alexander House beherbergte zuvor das traditionsreiche Spenglers Hotel Davos, bevor Hard Rock International es 2017 als erstes Hard Rock Hotel der Alpen und Kontinentaleuropas übernahm. Das Haus ist derzeit für neue Residenzen umgebaut und geschlossen; die Wiedereröffnung ist für den 15. Dezember 2026 angekündigt.

We had a very pleasant stay. The staff, especially Alejandro and Anna at reception, were extremely friendly and welcoming. The spa facilities were very good, and the breakfast offered a solid selection. The location is convenient and well-situated.
Guest relations were also excellent, with quick and helpful communication via email. Arranging a baby cot and a fridge was handled smoothly and without any hassle.
A special mention also goes to the staff member at the Sessions restaurant who managed the triage—he was very professional and handled everything efficiently. Overall, a comfortable and well-managed experience.
Cannot fault the staff, facilities or service, had a great stay at this hotel, exceptionally good service from Alejandro and Coreina but all staff were lovely.
Rooms were very nice and well maintained, only criticism is there was no kettle/drinks making facilities and the beds weren’t the most comfortable, but other than that was lovely.
Spa area was beautiful and again great service there.
Would happily stay again
In the midst of it and yet tugged away for quiet stay. Comfortable yet still a Hard Rock Hotel feel. Overall decent and the SPA/Pool much appreciated. But the tooms need some touches - electruc plugs are in very short supply and at the very bottom/floor level rather than where one could actually reach and charge (no USB option). The balcony has a great view, but from the comfy chair, one doesnt see anything as its positioned with the view blocked.
One overall winner is the crew - friendly and international! Thank you!
Our absolute favourite venue — for everything!
Since the Hard Rock Hotel Davos opened its doors, it has become our go-to destination — both professionally and personally. Over the years, I've organised numerous group events, dinners, apéros, and meetings there, and every single experience has been outstanding. The hotel effortlessly combines a vibrant, unique atmosphere with the professionalism and attention to detail you'd expect from a world-class venue.
One of the many things that makes this hotel so convenient is its location right in the heart of Davos. Being centrally situated makes it incredibly easy to access, whether you're arriving for a business event or a private stay — everything is right on your doorstep.
On the events side, I cannot speak highly enough of Denise. She is simply exceptional. From the very first planning call to the moment the last guest leaves, she is organized, proactive, creative, and always a pleasure to work with. No request is too big or too small — she genuinely goes above and beyond every single time, and it shows in the flawless execution of every event we've held there.
On the floor, Ricardo from the service team is a true gem. His warm, professional manner and genuine care for guests make every visit feel special. He's the kind of person who remembers the little details and always brings a smile to the room. In fact, the entire staff is consistently helpful, friendly, and attentive — you always feel genuinely welcomed.
After a busy day of meetings or events, the spa is the perfect way to unwind. It's a wonderful facility and a real highlight of any stay — whether you're there for work or leisure.
Beyond the events, I've also had the pleasure of staying at the hotel privately on several occasions — and it never gets old. The rooms, the vibe, the food, the energy — it all comes together beautifully.
If you're looking for a venue in Davos that delivers on every level — whether for business events, private celebrations, or a memorable stay — look no further. The Hard Rock Hotel Davos is in a league of its own.
Loved the ambiance of it all
The Hard Rock Hotel in Davos just has a certain ambiance to it. The design is very nice and one could say, a bit unique. Which already sets the stage for the rest of the great things.
What we loved:
- The full package of amenities: the hotel has so many nice things to offer (you can even get a guitar for the room), but our favorite was the spa where children are allowed until a certain time
- The location: it really is in the middle of Davos, so both Parsenn and Jakobshorn are easy to get to
- The customer-orientedness: to be fair, it was one person in particular, who made a huge difference to the experience, and this was a gentleman by the name of Erik (read more about him at the bottom of the review)
A bit of room for improvement:
- It's like a labyrinth: frankly, the hotel could benefit from more signs on how to get where (e.g. we had to look around quite a bit for Lift 'B', which is the only lift that goes to the spa/ski locker area)
- Check-in was a bit confusing: two people tried to 'help' us with check-in, both pointing their queries to me, and so I had to try and split my attention between them; even though my wife was also there, they didn't engage her; this after 2,5 hours of driving was a bit annoying to be fair (but it was quickly resolved)
* So regarding Erik, we just want to extend a huge thank you to him for making our experience really nice at Hard Rock Hotel - Davos. He was incredibly helpful all throughout, helping guide us to our room and carrying some of the stuff we brought. He was patient, attentive, generous, and fun. He really made the experience special, and I would like hotel management to be made aware of this.
