Our stay at this hotel was truly beyond all our expectations. Everything was exceptional—from the beautiful facilities to the outstanding service. Every member of the staff was incredibly polite, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, always going above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful stay.
A very special thank you to Naden at the Kids Club. She is such a caring, kind, and wonderful person who clearly loves working with children. She made our kids feel happy, safe, and excited to spend time at the Kids Club every day. They absolutely loved being with her and always came back with big smiles and wonderful stories about their day.
Knowing our children were in such caring hands gave us real peace of mind and allowed us to fully enjoy our holiday.
Thank you to the entire team for making our vacation so memorable. We highly recommend this hotel and can’t wait to come back!
Misleading booking confirmation, dirty rooms, and broken promises
I booked a 2-night stay at AlpenGold Davos in July 2026 through a DeinDeal voucher. Before purchasing, I contacted the hotel directly and received that the voucher was valid, along with booking. Upon arrival, front desk staff accepted the voucher and checked us in.
The next day, management suddenly claimed the voucher was "not for their hotel" and demanded full payment for the second night. Despite having their written confirmation, they refused to take any accountability for their own mistake or for DeinDeal's misleading branding. We were forced to pay significantly more than the agreed amount.
Cleanliness: The room was dirty upon arrival and the floor was clearly not cleaned for multiple days. For a hotel claiming 5-star status, this is unacceptable.
Service failures: Staff promised a tent for our child in the room — we asked multiple times and were repeatedly told "later," but it never arrived.
The management's handling of this situation was unprofessional and dishonest. This is not Swiss hospitality, and it certainly does not meet 5-star standards. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone seeking reliable, quality service in Davos.
+ the staff was very friendly and welcoming, we felt valuable (exceptions below)
+ the premises are very new and in good condition, nothing was falling apart (exceptions below)
+ breakfast is very rich, complimentary minibar and the coffee machine was really nice details
+ spa is clean, relaxing and warm
+ Davos is not so hot in the summer, so heated pools make very much sense
+ kids club, mini club, outdoor parks are child friendly (not the restaurants, though) mini club caregivers was very professional, speaking multiple languages
+ tap water is really of high quality and low in hardness (2-12 °fH)
- we received some warnings from the staff that injures the 5 star hotel customer experience (“do you know that we have kids club downstairs?” - when our son refuses the kids club and make some noise in the rooftop bar. “Do you know that this is a limited availability?” When we asked for 1/2 hour delay to the return shuttle service. “Maybe you can try the Nuts & Co bar, so the child can also run freely” - when we already tried it and wanted to have dinner in the Sapori Restaurant)
- the room was not perfectly clean - there are hairs on the floor and we asked them to clean the floor again, they cleaned only the room and the balcony, the hairs on the bathroom stayed. I think they don’t “mop” the floors. The desktop surfaces were also dusty. The kids club were a bit dusty. Maybe we are a bit picky
- very low wi-fi and cellular coverage in the kids club (major problem, not mentioned to the staff)
- the coffee machine in the room was leaking (minor fault, not mentioned)
- the AC was blowing ice cold and cannot be turned warm or completely off (minor fault, not mentioned)
- in the middle of the night our door was consistently knocked and it was a child who mistakes their room (not the fault of the hotel, obviously)
Truly amazing experience, the only thing is that we expected at least some form of a dress code cause especially with breakfast there where some truly filthy and smelling people with sporting clothes, other than that the staff is amazing and the moment you arrive you won't have to think about a single thing.

Nice hotel at a beautiful location. Our balcony has a terrific view of the town. The food in the restaurant was good too.
