The Vineta

The Vineta is the first United States hotel of Oetker Collection, the family-owned group that also runs Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc and Brenners Park-Hotel. It opened in January 2026 in a building that went up in 1926, and it carries the name that building bore for more than fifty years before it became the Chesterfield. The hotel has 41 rooms and suites. The group owns it in partnership with Reuben Brothers.

The place

On Palm Beach island, steps from Worth Avenue, the shopping street around which the town's social life has revolved for a century. The building is Mediterranean Revival, with a historic façade that the restoration kept.

A beach set-up is arranged a short walk from the hotel.

The concept

The building opened in 1926, during the Florida real estate boom, as the Lido-Venice. It was renamed The Vineta and kept that name for more than five decades, was converted to condominiums in the 1980s, reopened as The Chesterfield in 1989 and closed in 2022. Oetker Collection brought the Vineta name back after a renovation of nearly three years.

Tino Zervudachi, whose firm ZRM designed the interiors, worked with the architects Spina O'Rourke & Partners. The references are Venetian, which suits the building's first name: terrazzo floors, custom Venetian plaster walls, classical moldings and plaster reliefs inspired by the 1930s. Smaller motifs recur in the fabrics and finishes, among them waves, feathers, palm prints and constellations. The 41 rooms use linen prints, white and blue linens and warm accents.

The room count was cut to make the hotel smaller than the Chesterfield it replaced; published figures for the earlier count differ.

Dining & wellness

Coco's is the main restaurant, indoors and out, with a Mediterranean menu. Executive Chef Brian Rodriguez runs it, and a few dishes come from the group's Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc on the Riviera, among them Steak Diane and the Eden Roc sea bass, developed with that hotel's chefs. The rest of the menu runs from red prawn carpaccio to grilled Maine lobster and homemade pizzas.

The Bar serves a botanical cocktail list under the name Pan's Garden. The Pool House handles lighter meals: pizzas signed Giovanni's, a raw bar and lobster rolls.
