The concept
The hotel occupies the lower 22 floors of a 55-story, 630-foot tower, among Alberta's tallest at completion, with Legends Private Residences condominiums filling the floors above. Developed jointly by ICE District Properties, the Katz Group, ONE Development Group and Marriott International as part of a roughly $500-million tower, construction began in November 2014 and the hotel opened August 1, 2019, becoming the third JW Marriott in Canada and Alberta's only property under the brand.
Dining & wellness
Braven Restaurant and Kindred Food + Drink anchor the food and drink program, alongside the Lobby Bar, the Alchemy cocktail bar and an executive lounge. Spa by JW and Archetype Fitness Club (a 13,000-square-foot wellness floor with a pool, steam rooms and whirlpools) occupy dedicated wellness floors, and the hotel carries close to 25,000 square feet of conference space, including a roughly 10,000-square-foot ballroom.
