The place

On Puerto Rico's northeast coast in Rio Grande, about 30 minutes from San Juan, within the 483-acre Bahia Beach nature reserve bordering El Yunque rainforest.

The concept

Four Seasons' first resort on the island takes over the former St. Regis Bahia Beach, positioning it as an eco-luxury oceanfront enclave along two miles of beach; Meyer Davis reworked the guest rooms, suites, Casa Grande arrival space and Lobby Lounge, and 85 private residences share the grounds.

Dining & wellness

Ten dining and bar concepts, including lobby lounge El Bembe, Mediterranean-leaning Paros, open-air Seagrapes, a sushi pop-up, Turtle's Nest bar and beachfront dining at Sand Dollar, a ten-treatment-room spa, and the Robert Trent Jones Jr.–designed Bahia Beach Golf Club.
