CASCADA broke ground on a second thermal-springs hotel in downtown Bend, Oregon, a 68-room, 130,000-square-foot property targeting a late-2028 opening. Developed by SolTerra and designed by Hacker Architects, it follows the brand's original CASCADA Thermal Springs + Hotel in Portland with roughly 250% more water and rooftop pools overlooking the Cascades.

The place

The concept
CASCADA broke ground on its second property, following the original CASCADA Thermal Springs + Hotel in Portland, with SolTerra developing and Hacker Architects designing a 130,000-square-foot boutique hotel built around a grander thermal-springs experience — roughly 250% more water than the Portland original — drawing design cues from the Central Oregon landscape. The project is expected to create more than 150 permanent jobs and includes on-site parking.
Dining & wellness
Rooms include a private balcony and fireplace; the hotel is built around a thermal spa, rooftop pools and saunas overlooking the Cascades, plus movement and recovery spaces rather than a conventional restaurant program.
