The place
The hotel sits at the corner of Elliot and Ellsworth roads in far southeast Mesa, anchoring East Gate Plaza, a new $60 million retail development. The site is minutes from Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport and Arizona Athletic Grounds, and sits within the Elliot Road Technology Corridor, where Apple's Global Command Center and Meta's data-center campus are based.
The concept
A new-build, five-story upscale hotel under the Cambria brand, developed jointly by Aspect Hospitality Group, Clarity Strategic Opportunities and O'Reilly Hospitality; O'Reilly Hospitality Management will run day-to-day operations once it opens. Groundbreaking took place in January 2026, with construction expected to take about a year and a targeted early-2027 opening. It will be the third Cambria-branded hotel in the Phoenix metro area.

Confirmed amenities include a rooftop restaurant and bar plus a separate lobby bar, alongside an outdoor pool, fitness center, grab-and-go market, guest laundry, meeting rooms and EV charging stations. No chef, menu or brand partner has been named yet.
