Capstone Hotel Management has been appointed to operate The Alfred Hotel, a new-build, 123-room riverside hotel on Blenheim's Taylor River. Due to open in 2027, it anchors a new wine-country entertainment precinct alongside the Marlborough Wine and Food Experience, the ASB Theatre and the Marlborough Events Centre.

The place
The six-storey hotel rises on the banks of the Taylor River in Blenheim's CBD, next to the former Clubs of Marlborough building and linked to it by a first-floor airbridge.
The concept
A new-build hotel forming the accommodation anchor of a wine-country entertainment precinct that also includes the Marlborough Wine and Food Experience, the ASB Theatre and the Marlborough Events Centre — Capstone Hotel Management's 20th New Zealand property, and its first ground-up build in the region.
