AC Hotel Ann Arbor Downtown

AC Hotel Ann Arbor Downtown opened in February 2026 at 310 East Huron Street, across from City Hall, on the site of a former parking lot. It has 139 rooms over six stories and a rooftop-level lounge and terrace. It is the first AC Hotel in Ann Arbor.

The place

The hotel is at 310 East Huron Street, across from Ann Arbor City Hall, in the downtown Main Street district. The land had been a surface parking lot, and construction started in May 2024. The central campus of the University of Michigan and the Main Street restaurants are within walking distance.

The sixth floor has a lounge and terrace with views over downtown.

The concept

First Martin Corporation developed the six-story building, which covers 81,745 square feet. First Hospitality Group, based in Chicago, operates it. The opening was slated for 12 February 2026 and announced on 16 February. It is the first AC Hotel in Ann Arbor and the fourth in Michigan.

The design follows what Marriott calls a Modern Industrialist concept: brick, stone and metallic panels outside, including custom copper-accented metalwork from the Michigan manufacturer Dri-Design, and metal, glass and wood inside. The hotel says the interiors refer to the city's industrial history, and its art draws on natural textures and the street grid. A solar array is installed that generates more than 50 kWh a day.

The 139 rooms are standard AC Hotel rooms. Valet parking, a fitness center, digital check-in and mobile keys are offered, and pets are allowed. A 500-square-foot boardroom with floor-to-ceiling windows and an 85-inch display is the only meeting room reported. Architect and interior designer were not named in the announcement, and the owner is not stated separately from the developer.

Dining & wellness

AC Lounge & Kitchen serves European-style breakfasts and coffee in the morning and switches to small plates, tapas-style dishes and the brand's AC Gin & Tonic in the evening. The sixth-floor lounge and terrace is the other venue.
