Absolutely terrible experience from check-in to check-out.
I booked a room with a king-size bed, but was given a room with two twin beds pushed together. I woke up in the gap between the mattresses, and when I reported the issue, the staff simply adjusted the beds instead of providing the room I had actually reserved. To make matters worse, the two mattresses were different sizes.
The bathroom was also poorly designed. Every time I used the bathtub, the water flooded the toilet area because the drain couldn’t handle the amount of water, leaving the entire floor wet for a long time.
The restaurant was even worse. There was no one at the entrance to greet guests, and after waiting for quite a while, I asked the waitress what came with the ribeye (“ojo de bife”). Her response was, “What’s written on the menu. Nothing else.”
Despite the restaurant being almost empty, my food took more than 40 minutes to arrive while the chef was chatting with another table.
When the steak finally arrived, it had vinaigrette on top, even though this was not mentioned anywhere on the menu. I immediately explained that I am allergic and that consuming it could make me seriously ill. The waitress said they would prepare a new dish.
After another long wait, she returned with what was obviously the same plate. The kitchen was open and visible from the dining room, and it was clear that no new meal had been prepared. The smell of the vinaigrette was still there, yet she claimed it was a new dish.
I explained again that serving me the same plate after I had informed them of my allergy was unacceptable and could have put my life at risk. Only after I insisted did she agree to ask the kitchen to prepare another one. At that point, I canceled my order because I no longer trusted the staff.
The only response I received was that I would still have to pay for the drinks.
This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. The staff were unprofessional, poorly trained, and showed a shocking lack of concern for guest safety. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Great location very close to the town center.
Reception was okay, we had a bit of a language issue but thank you Translator app.
Lobby has many comfortable places to sit and relax; lobby bar and restaurant also on main floor.
Our room #817 had a beautiful panoramic view of the water, mountains, bits of town.
King size bed was very comfortable with good selection of pillows. Sitting area with small table , desk space but no chair, safe in the closet, bathrobes, toiletry amenities, towels are thick and fluffy. FreeWiFi. There is a fridge, kettle with coffee/tea and complementary water. Room could use more lighting; a lamp or lighting above the desk area would be helpful.
Laundry service is available, for a fee, and efficient.
The Spa: open 08:00-22:00. 9th Floor
Helpful at spa reception; they will schedule your visits and give you towels. Issue we found is you need to make reservations for (what should be) some simple things.
There is a Cill Out/ Relaxation area that is absolutely gorgeous with windows that enhance the view. Ivory leather chaise loungers, light refreshments, very serene and peaceful.
They have a men’s and women’s sauna but only one is working so ‘you have to share’. There is also a Hydro Therapy Pool (jacuzzi) but it is empty so you have to schedule a time and they will fill it and heat it. On the rooftop is an indoor heated pool with lounge area and outside are two Japanese wooden ‘hot tubs’ that hold up to 3 maybe 4 people. They don’t really tell you take you have make a reservation to use either of these tubs which was rather disappointing after a long day of walking.
We did have massages in the spa. 90 minutes for 102,000 Argentinian pesos. The masseuse was nice but didn’t really understand English. I asked for a relaxation massage, focus on back. She spent over 40 minutes on my feet and legs even with multiple times asking her to focus on my back. He request a sports massage; I gave him heads up on what direction to give masseuse.
Overall spa rating: 3 out of 5
Room service: I tried calling room service, extension 201 & 223. Numbers either didn’t answer or referred me to the other number. I finally went downstairs to the restaurant who referred me to the bar who referred me back to the restaurant. I tried to place an order for a dish i had ordered from the menu and I had eaten just an hour earlier while I was seated IN the restaurant. They bar staff and restaurant staff had discussions about how the dish came for Room Service; which was the absolute bare minimum of what was served at my table. Finally a server who recognized me said, “ahhhh okay we can do!” Finally! They gave me a somewhat reasonable wait time for Room Service delivery but it wasn’t more than ten minutes or so after I got back up to our room that the food arrived. As in the restaurant, it was very good. They tried.
Brazarte Restaurant: Food was fresh, service good. Breakfast was basic and okay.

The Sheraton Hotel in Bariloche is exceptionally well located and beautifully refreshed with a sleek, modern design. The lobby in particular is stunning—calm, stylish, and genuinely inviting, with a high‑end atmosphere that sets the tone the moment you walk in.
As a Marriott Titanium member, I was warmly recognized and upgraded to a suite with sweeping panoramic views of the lake. The staff throughout the hotel were consistently gracious, attentive, and eager to offer helpful tips. Breakfast is simple and has everything you need, though it could use a bit more flair to match the rest of the experience.
Dinner at the hotel was a standout—easily comparable to a Michelin‑level restaurant, with creative flavors and premium ingredients. The fish and pasta dishes were especially memorable, far better than many of the options in town.
The gym and spa are excellent as well. The rooftop features two Japanese‑style hot tubs overlooking the lake, along with a warm pool and a serene Buddha lounge with a dry sauna. The highlight for me was the brand‑new Technogym equipment, perfect for a proper workout.
Our suite was spacious, with a living room, dining area, bedroom, bathroom, and a whirlpool tub. The only element that hadn’t been updated was the bathroom wall paint, which looked a bit dated, but everything else was beautifully finished.
The hotel is just a five‑minute walk from the town center and local shops, and it’s an easy drive to the surrounding lakes. A special thank‑you to Nicolás, the general manager, for the thoughtful birthday cake and his generosity.
My room was nice, the lobby was nice but it's an old hotel. Breakfast is average. Will I stay here again? Yes, it's super well located and staff is great but needs a boost!
Cristián Navarrete Dechent · 4/5 The worst Hotel so far in our journey in Argentina.
Super noisy, no AC, Windows to open but inside the area all the chimneys of the Restaurants next to Sheraton share their kitchen smoke with you.
Hotel stuff is very arrogant and even the are lying, except the restaurant chef.
They told me, as I stood a 2nd. time, Welcome Bonus is only once a month.
As A Platinum Member, I told them the rules, but obviously the manager ordered to give it only once.
What is not correct. even when they dont offer it they have to pay 100 UsD compensation. The receptionist was very rude and angry about I am insisting.
I guess there a much better Hotels in Bariloche as the Sheraton.
And as Platinum Member it was the worst experience in Marriott Group Hotels.
