Grupo Hyatt — Hyatt Centric

While booking we thought that the hotel is a beach front because of the pictures i guess.
But regardless we had an amazing time and the location is close to everything. And since we’re in sargasso season, it was actually so much better here.
The atmosphere was good vibes the staff is very nice. We also had a guacamole workshop, Brandon was amazing and super patient with us.
The rooms were so spacious comfortable and super clean all the time.
The cleaning fairies made sure to leave animal towels everyday, so we were super excited to get to the hotel at night to see what they created. It actually made our stay even more special.
The only thing i wish we had in the hotel room is a little office space because i had to work on my laptop outside of the room but it’s ok, not a big deal of course.
Titi - Christina Karam · 5/5 I am enjoying my stay at this hotel. Its location is excellent, right in the heart of Playa del Carmen, making it easy to explore everything the area has to offer. Check-in was quick and seamless, with no waiting.
The rooftop pool is absolutely stunning and truly sets this hotel apart from others nearby. The atmosphere is hard to beat—relaxing by the beautiful pool with panoramic ocean views while enjoying drinks and fresh ceviche was a highlight of my day today.
The rooms are modern, comfortable, and impeccably maintained. Housekeeping does a fantastic job keeping everything spotless. Another pleasant surprise was how quiet my room is despite some of the other reviews saying the opposite.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its unbeatable location, exceptional rooftop experience, comfortable accommodations, and excellent service.
Good stay for a few days at this hotel in Playa del Carmen in early June to decompress after diving both on Cozumel and the cenotes south of Playa. Nice location in the middle of a lot of activity — shops, restaurants, bars, etc. But the room was quiet and not noisy at all. The hotel is a few blocks off the ocean but beach activites this time of year are undermined by seaweed infestation. (The seaweed problem is especially bad south of the Cancun hotel strip to Tulum sometimes beginning as early as April and sometimes lasting until October.) The service at the hotel was excellent. My room rate came with an American breakfast each day which was very good. The hotel has less than 100 rooms and has a boutique feel. There are two floors of rooms and an expansive rooftop with a pool, bar, and restaurant. The menu is limited but the food was fine. The pool service was very good. The fitness center is paltry but it wasn’t a problem for me b/c no one else was in there when I used it.
We stayed both the downtown and beach locations for a week family getaway and it was wonderful. Rooms were spacious and service was really great! Soraya at the desk helped us a lot! She was very attentive during our accommodation. Downtown location could be a bit loud at night but it has a large pool at the top. The beach location was amazing. It has its own beach area you can hang out. We also enjoyed the complimentary tequila and mezcal tastings they offered :)
Our stay at this hotel was an excellent experience from the moment we arrived. The front desk staff was always very kind, attentive, and ready to help at all times. They truly met and exceeded our expectations, assisting us whenever we needed anything.
We initially booked two nights in a standard room with two beds, but we took advantage of a promotion to upgrade to a suite with a view of Fifth Avenue for an additional cost. From the very first day, they accommodated us in the suite, which turned out to be a great decision.
Before arriving, we had seen several negative reviews, especially about noise. However, our experience was completely different. Even though our room was facing Fifth Avenue, the noise was never excessive. Once the door was closed, it was minimal, and we were able to sleep very comfortably without needing the earplugs provided. I don’t think the negative reviews about noise should be taken too seriously, as everyone has different tolerances and experiences. In our case, the noise was minimal and definitely not something that should stop anyone from staying here.
My parents came to celebrate their anniversary and were absolutely delighted. The hotel offers great amenities, such as complimentary bicycle use and breakfast available at an additional cost, which we enjoyed both days with a beautiful ocean view. The pool is also very nice, and towels are always provided.
The suite is impressive, very spacious, with a large TV in the center of the room, a jacuzzi on the balcony, a large his and hers bathroom, an oversized shower, a king size bed, and an extremely comfortable sofa. There were three of us, and even though there was only one bed, the front desk kindly brought us an extra single bed at no additional cost. That said, the sofa was so comfortable that the extra bed was barely needed.
The beds deserve a special mention. They are extremely comfortable. I don’t usually fall asleep easily when I lie down, but here I found myself falling asleep almost immediately multiple times just by getting into bed.
Without a doubt, we would stay here again. We do not regret choosing this hotel at all. In fact, we enjoyed it even more than the beach we originally came to see. I would definitely come back again and again every time I visit.
