For a weekend

Start at Copley Square, ringed by Trinity Church and the Boston Public Library, then walk Newbury Street end to end for its boutiques, galleries and cafés — the retail spine that runs the length of the neighborhood. The Public Garden sits at Newbury's western foot, directly across from The Newbury Boston, and the Charles River Esplanade is a short walk beyond it.

For a longer stay

With more time, the Christian Science Plaza and the Prudential Center's shops and observation deck sit a few minutes from Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street, and Fenway Park is close enough on foot from citizenM Boston Back Bay to build a game into the same stay. Back Bay also connects easily on foot into Downtown Boston and, via the Esplanade, toward Beacon Hill.

Raffles Boston Back Bay Hotel & Residences opened at 40 Trinity Place in September 2023, its Sky Lobby suspended in direct view of Trinity Church, while The Newbury Boston reopened in May 2021 across from the Public Garden at the foot of Newbury Street, after earlier lives as a Ritz-Carlton and a Taj.

citizenM Boston Back Bay opened in September 2024 at 408 Newbury Street, at the edge where Back Bay meets the Fenway — built on a platform decked over the Massachusetts Turnpike, making it Boston's first air-rights construction since 1983.
