Staying at Unico Riviera Nayarit was truly an unforgettable experience . From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. Every staff member was warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing stay.
The resort offers a variety of activities throughout the day, so there is always something fun to do. We especially want to give a shoutout to Luis, the activities lead, who made our experience even more memorable. He was incredibly friendly and welcoming, always stopping by to personally invite us to participate in the day’s events. Thanks to him, we enjoyed several fun crafts and poolside activities that made our vacation even more special.
Thank you to the entire Unico Riviera Nayarit team for such an unforgettable experience. We can’t wait to come back!
I came here with my partner for 7 nights, it was an absolute treat. The resort is beautiful and the staff even more so.
The activities and staff were very fun. Eliana was very engaging and energetic, from her aqua work outs to her pool black jack; I always had an amazing time with her as she would always encourage us get out of our comfort zone and play all of the games. Roberto was also a great game host and always had jokes!
Not to mention Eric and the bar lounge night activities! So many awesome staff and I wish I could name them all for a proper shout out.
The wait staff was always on top of it and constantly on the go but they would always greet you with a smile and of course more cocktails.
We just returned from a wonderful vacation at Unico Riviera Nayarit. It gave the feeling of being a luxurious boutique style hotel with only about 150 rooms. They were all facing Banderas bay in Puerto Vallarta. We had two wonderful butlers that took care of us. They were Dylan and Francisco. They used WhatsApp to communicate with us, helping with getting us pool chairs and arranging for dinner reservations. There were only three restaurants there, we enjoyed the Asian restaurant Kobo, very fresh sushi and other very inventive Japanese dishes. The Chef there was Brisa. At the Alto cafe at the rooftop pool we had a special lunch prepared by Rafael Conde who also prepared a delicious lobster for dinner. The waiters at the Alto pool area were Carlos and Maria who were great. We also went on an excursion to see Rhythm of the Night which was an excellent show though it did run late into the evening, took a boat ride across the bay, the show had Circus Soleil vibes as well as dinner didn’t get back to the hotel till 11:00 pm but it was worth it. The beach was nice and it had no seaweed problems. Would recommend this hotel if you want to vacation in the Puerto Vallarta area
We had a wonderful relaxing stay at Unico. Our welcome host Eduardo was always quick to assist. Alberto by the pool was amazing, he refilled drinks at the perfect time and was always attentive. The most memorable staff member was Yovani. We ate at Kobo for a second night in a row because our first night was so delicious. There were multiple large parties that were ordering and this left us waiting a while to get service from our waiter. Yovani noticed we had been waiting a while, and he came to take our order. He is usually a waiter at Agua Madre, but he was helping at Kobo last night. He was attentive to our every need and made the dinner amazing. He noticed that we weren’t excited about any of the dessert options. My partner is vegan and there weren’t great vegan dessert options. Yovani left Kobo and went across the resort to Agua Madre to bring us vegan chocolate ice cream. He most certainly did not have to do this, but we were so appreciative for him and he is the staff member who made our stay most memorable. There were a few small things that the resort could improve such as hiring more wait staff as there were two times we had to wait 10-15 minutes after sitting down for a meal to order drinks. The waitstaff were visibly working very hard, but they were understaffed. Along with this, the fridge and snacks in our room never got restocked which was disappointing. My partner is vegan and the Japanese restaurants had the best food choices for him and the staff there is very knowledgeable on what he could eat. The vegan options at the Mexican restaurant were limited but delicious. We did not eat at the Italian restaurant as they didn’t have any vegan options. I think this resort has enough vegan options for a 3-4 day stay but they are limited if you were staying for a longer vacation. The resort is clean and beautiful and we were very content with that. The resort was quiet and easy to have plenty of space to relax by either pool.

We spent a lovely week here in January. This is one of the BEST months to visit here - it’s the perfect time to take a break from the winter weather at home, and the whale watching is awesome!!
This property is an intimate setting with limited rooms and 3 restaurants. You quickly get to know your fellow vacationers and staff.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The large tub on the balcony makes for a romantic private evening as you watch the sun set.
The spa experience is a must do!! The hydrotherapy is so much fun and followed up with an 80 minute hot stone massage made me never want to go home!!
