Nice Hotel Close to Train Station
Modern, comfortable, reasonably priced. Excellent buffet breakfast. Rooms are very nice but, oddly, without any amenities other than towels, liquid soap, and toilet paper. Hotel is clean and the staff is excellent. Lobby is tiny and gets crowded because of very slow elevators. I suppose the sketchy neighborhood is due to the close proximity to the train station. Lots of trash, some local businesses seem to be permanently shuttered. Easy walk to Old Town and Castle. Overall, a nice place to stay especially if you are traveling in Germany using the rail system. I would definitely stay here again, if not just for the breakfast.
Extremely disappointing stay — definitely not four-star service
We specifically booked this hotel and paid more compared to other 4 star hotels in this area because it had a pool, only to find out after arrival that using the pool costs an additional €10. On booking.com the note stated that the spa area costs an additional €10 but somehow information was omitted that the pool was within the spa area as well.
This felt completely misleading. If a hotel advertises a pool as one of its facilities, guests should not be surprised with an extra charge after already paying a higher room rate.
The elevator system is also unbelievably inefficient. We regularly had to wait a very long time, and the elevators seemed to stop at almost every floor. Getting in and out of the hotel became unnecessarily frustrating. Moreover, the fitness center was on the 7th floor and there was no option to press the lift up or down. We had to wait for the elevator to go all the way down before going back up again.
Our room was extremely noisy. Even at 1 or 2 a.m., we could clearly hear cars, people shouting, and ambulances outside. It was almost impossible to get a proper night’s sleep. We understand, however, this comes with the convenience of it being next to the hbf so a 3 star location rating seemed fair for us.
For a supposed four-star hotel, the lack of basic toiletries is ridiculous. They do not even provide a toothbrush and toothpaste, and if you forget your own, they charge more than €5 for a toothbrush and toothpaste in a convenience store like setting that seems like a budget hotel. Basic items like this should be provided, especially at a hotel claiming this level of service.
The housekeeping and room service were also terrible. A staff member entered while I was in the bathroom. They knew I was inside but still opened the door and came in without waiting for me to respond or open it. This resulted in an extremely uncomfortable situation.
The room was not cleaned properly either. The bed was poorly made, and plates and other items from the previous day were left in the room instead of being cleared away.
Overall, this hotel was overpriced, noisy, poorly managed, and nowhere near the standard expected from a four-star property. Extra charges, bad housekeeping, a lack of privacy, inefficient elevators, and poor service made the entire stay frustrating. I would not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.
The positives that earned it an additional star. The gym was really modern with a beautiful view and there was a gentlemen working on Saturday night that really nice. The room itself was also decent, if not for the aforementioned downsides.
I really enjoyed staying at this hotel: the rooms are spacious and clean, bathroom and shower is nice. I couldn't hear much noise from the hallway or other rooms. Aircon worked fine.
The mirror by the window can reflect light in the morning, so make sure the curtains are shut and covering the sides of the window properly.
Lots of Bio/Organic food to choose from at breakfast and I drank the most delicious & not overly sweet hot chocolate at the bar!
You have to use the room key to get the lift going.
Close to the city center, you have to pay for parking.
I didn't have time to use the facilities so I cannot comment on those.
Our four-night stay in this hotel was wonderful. The room (548) is very clean, quiet and comfortable. We especially liked the rain shower facility. Breakfast was fantastic but could be crowded at certain times. The hotel location is ideal for travelers— short walking distance to the train/subway/tram station and to the old town. Wonderful city views from the rooftop (7th floor). The only shortcoming was the elevators. There are no separate down and up buttons. Guests press the same button for going up or down. Accordingly, no optimization could be performed. Elevator stops at almost every floor.

❤️❤️❤️❤️Huge thanks to Cilla, Mia,Melisa, and Joshua from the reception team! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such a warm welcome and genuine smiles that instantly made me feel at ease.
Despite it being a last-minute situation, everything was handled smoothly and professionally. Their service was seamless, efficient, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.
The room itself was cozy and spotless, with a mattress and pillows so comfortable it felt like sleeping on a cloud.
We also had the pleasure of relaxing at the bar in the evening – such a lovely atmosphere to unwind. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, with so much choice, great service, and a really nice ambiance to start the day.
Such a team is truly a treasure to have – thank you for making the whole experience so easy and enjoyable! Highly recommended ⭐️
We will be back for sure!
