We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Gran Hotel Margalida.
The hotel itself is stunning, with beautifully designed rooms, breathtaking views, and an atmosphere that perfectly captures the charm of Mallorca.
What truly sets this hotel apart is the service. From the moment you arrive, the team makes you feel genuinely special. Every request was handled with care, warmth, and attention to detail. The check-in and check-out experience was seamless and effortless.
A very special thank you to Patri, the Hotel Manager, who went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Her local recommendations, restaurant suggestions, and genuine hospitality played a huge role in shaping our trip and helping us discover the very best of the island.
We would also like to thank every member of the team for their kindness, professionalism, and dedication throughout our stay.
This was our first visit, but certainly not our last. We will be returning and recommending Gran Hotel Margalida to friends and family without hesitation.
Thank you for an incredible experience.

I genuinely wanted this hotel to succeed.
Before booking, I researched the leadership team and was impressed by their backgrounds at some of Mallorca’s most respected luxury properties. Knowing that Patricia, the General Manager, and Salim, the Guest Experience Manager, had extensive experience in luxury hospitality gave me confidence that, despite being a newly opened hotel, I would be in excellent hands. Unfortunately, the reality was very different.
From the moment I checked in, it became clear that the hotel had opened before it was operationally ready. The room I received was completely different from the one advertised. Although I was upgraded to a Junior Suite, it still felt small, lacked the atmosphere presented in the marketing photos, and overlooked the street and a generator, resulting in constant traffic and mechanical noise.
The air conditioning was not functioning properly, there was ongoing construction noise around the property, and pool service was inconsistent to the point of being almost nonexistent. Simple requests repeatedly went unfulfilled, which unfortunately became a symbol of the operational challenges throughout the stay.
Beyond these major issues, numerous details expected from a luxury hotel were either missing or incomplete. There was no television or in-room telephone, no evening turndown service, only one dinner menu available throughout my stay, no wine glasses in the room, and the coffee capsules provided did not even match the size of the coffee cups. Even small touches shown in the hotel’s own marketing, such as the branded yellow slippers, were absent. None of these details alone would define a stay, but together they created the impression that the hotel was simply not ready to welcome guests at the level it aspires to.
The property itself is absolutely stunning. The architecture is beautiful, the infinity pool overlooking the Mediterranean is breathtaking, and the setting has the potential to become one of Mallorca’s finest luxury destinations. Sadly, despite the beauty of the physical product, the atmosphere felt unusually quiet and lacked the vibrant energy one expects from a newly opened luxury resort.
To their credit, both Patricia and Salim were genuinely courteous, listened carefully, acknowledged every concern, and never became defensive. Patricia openly admitted that she personally believed the hotel should not have opened yet, which I appreciated as an honest reflection of the current situation. She later invited me to dinner, arranged to reduce buggy traffic near my room to minimize noise, and ultimately refunded my final night’s stay after I decided to check out early. I sincerely appreciate these gestures, and they demonstrated genuine professionalism and care.
Unfortunately, however, the underlying issues affecting the guest experience could not be resolved during my stay.
I truly hope the owners allow Patricia, Salim, and the rest of the team the time and resources needed to complete what is clearly an ambitious project. The vision is exceptional, and I genuinely believe this hotel has the potential to become one of Mallorca’s standout luxury properties.
At present, however, it feels like a hotel still in its soft-opening phase while charging guests for a fully operational luxury experience. I look forward to returning in a year or two, because I sincerely hope to see this remarkable property become the hotel it clearly has the potential to be.
We stayed at this new hotel and, as expected with any brand-new property, there were a few issues that still need to be worked out. That said, none of them took away from our overall experience. The food was excellent, and the service was great throughout our stay. The staff was friendly, helpful, and did everything they could to make sure we were taken care of.
Overall, we had a very good experience and really have no complaints. The few issues we ran into seemed like normal growing pains for a new hotel, and I’m sure they’ll be worked out with time. We would definitely stay again. Patricia was also great and very helpful
Probably the most incredible hotel in Mallorca, in my opinion.
Everything about our stay was exceptional. The rooms are stunning, the staff are warm, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect.
The restaurant serves delicious food and offers breathtaking sunset views, while the pool area is beautiful and incredibly relaxing. There's also a lovely beach nearby, but what really impressed us was the level of service: the hotel drove us there, provided towels, and even picked us up afterwards.
This is truly a special place and an unforgettable experience. If you're visiting Mallorca, staying here is an absolute must!
